The History of Spa Francorchamps
F1 has returned every year to this famous track where the Grand Prix has been staged since 1922. Today the modern version of the track, which was created in 1979, is without doubt the greatest and most challenging racetrack F1 visits. Because of the location deep in the forest, Spa has its own little micro-climate, and every year teams who spend thousands on weather forecasts are always caught out by rain which just turns up from absolutely nowhere.
